Katie Erikson earned a Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance from Temple University’s Esther Boyer School of Music and a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. At Temple, Katie was active in both the operas and choral ensembles. Additionally, Katie has performed with the Philadelphia Opera Collective and currently performs as a soprano soloist and section leader at Lutheran Church of the Holy Communion.
Katie gained her first teaching experience at SNJ Studio of Music in Omaha, Nebraska, where she taught until 2010. At Temple, Katie taught an undergraduate vocal performance course as well as private voice lessons. She has worked with students of all ages and in a diverse number of styles. Katie’s teachers include Christine Anderson and Donna Harler-Smith. At NBS, Katie teaches a variety of students from beginners to adults.
