The Nelly Berman School of Music will host an Instrument Petting Zoo (“hands on fun with instruments!”) and Social Hour to celebrate school founder Nelly Berman!
HAVERFORD, PA — The Nelly Berman School of Music 1st ever Founder’s Day Celebration will be held on Wednesday, July 21st at the Nelly Berman School of Music, Haverford, PA to celebrate the remarkable achievements of Nelly Berman. Festivities include an Instrument Petting Zoo from
3:00-4:30pm and a Social Hour from 4:30-6:00pm. This event is free and open to the community.
Come and experience the magic of our Instrument Petting Zoo where children will have fun seeing, touching and feeling instruments including the Violin, Cello, French Horn and Clarinet! Teachers will be on hand to play the instruments and answer questions.
Then join us for some snacks and light refreshments while you hear student performances and socialize with other families at the school. The Nelly Berman Classical Music Institute’s Board of Directors will be there to share Nelly’s vision for the school and her passion for children’s musical education.

Nelly Berman was a Russian Pianist who came to the United States with two young children and $17 in her pocket. She went on to create a unique classical music school in the heart of the Main Line which has become a beacon for high achievement in music education. Today, the school has more than 350 students from the Main Line and surrounding areas and 45 faculty members. The school’s faculty has studied at some of the finest conservatories throughout Russia, Europe and the U.S. Many have major solo careers and are invited to perform all over the world with premiere conductors and orchestras.
Nelly passed in 2015 and the School’s non-profit Nelly Berman Classical Music Institute, 501(c)(3) is there to support her tradition of music excellence.
