Since its founding in 1983, the Nelly Berman School of Music has organized biannual student concert, which are open to all students at the school. The “Rising Stars” concerts have been a staple of the NBS program for the past 40 years. These concerts give all of our teachers and students a platform to showcase their musical accomplishments.
For the past few years, these “Rising Stars” concerts have taken place on the big stage at St. Luke United Methodist Church in Bryn Mawr. This year, due to coronavirus closures, we held our “Rising Stars” concerts virtually for the first time. Over the course of six concerts, held on June 19th, 20th, 21st, and 25th, nearly 100 students participated, with representation from nearly every instrument and teacher’s studio at the school!
