Joseph T. Dvorak holds a M.M. in clarinet performance from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where he was a student of Todd Levy. At UWM, Joseph was featured as a soloist with the UWM Symphony Orchestra in a performance of Nielsen’s clarinet concerto. His B.M. was obtained at Temple University, where he was awarded a full-scholarship. There, he studied primarily with Paul Demers. Joseph is currently pursuing a Professional Studies Certificate in clarinet from Temple University, where he is a student of Ricardo Morales. Joseph performs and teaches throughout the Philadelphia area. His most recent performances include a performance of Davidovsky’s Synchronism no. 12 for solo clarinet and tape, as well as performances of the music of Julius Eastman with Bowerbird Philadelphia. His students have been accepted to the PMEA All State Festival, the Primavera Fund, ranked within the top 3 of the American Protege Competition, and more.
